Startmining at CES Las Vegas!

In early January 2023, part of the Startmining team flew to Las Vegas to exhibit at CES in Eureka Park, within the Région Sud delegation under the Business France / La French Tech pavilion.

For those who don’t know it yet, CES is a must-attend tech and innovation event on a global scale. It brings together more than 4,400 exhibitors and 115,000 visitors from all over the world. We are very proud to have been selected to take part — all the more so since only 20% of startups had their application accepted to exhibit at this 2023 edition.

We can now say it loud and clear: YES, it is possible to be in mining and cryptocurrencies while using renewable energy and being backed by institutions!

Bitcoin mining for everyone

As for our presence at CES, it was the project we have been working on for several months now that won over the Consumer Technology Association (the organizer of CES). And so it was at this global event that we decided to unveil it as a preview! It is a new, simple and transparent mining offer named START. Accessible in just a few clicks and aimed at the general public in the form of tokens, it lets users who stake those tokens in one of our staking pools earn a right to BTC rewards — without having to worry about the constraints of traditional mining (electricity bills, VAT, shipping, customs clearance, installation, hardware risk, etc.). In short, it is a distillation of our expertise that brings together all the advantages of mining without the drawbacks!

A show marked by many highlights

These four days of the show were intense and full of meetings and conversations, on our stand and along the aisles, including:

• The visit of Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, to the Région Sud space of the La French Tech / Choose France pavilion
• A meeting with the international press at a press lunch organized by the Région
• Our pitch on the Business France stand in front of a panel of visitors
• Many high-quality contacts

A collective adventure

CES was also a chance for Startmining to meet and talk with the 15 other startups in the Région Sud delegation: ACWA Robotics, CHARGEPOLY, INDIENOV, SP3H, SORGA Technology, METEOPTIM, Akidaia, HighWind – Emergency Calls, O-Kidia, Wilout, Qiti, AUTOMATA.AI, Akt.io, Brad Technology, and BLACK-LINE. The result: wonderful encounters with possible synergies, all in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We would like to thank the Région Sud – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, risingSUD, Toulon Provence Méditerranée and TVT Innovation. Thanks to their support, Startmining is now among the TOP 1,200 startups in the world selected for CES 2023! A big thank you, too, to Lucile Marquet of Rising Sud, who helped us a great deal in organizing this show, and to Sébastien Côte for his support — as well as to Marianne Carruba, Arnaud Blain, the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area, the Nice-Côte d’Azur metropolitan area, and the Arbois Environmental Technopole.

What’s next?

CES 2023 is now over, but it is only the starting point of a great adventure — and one that is not about to stop! We now look forward to seeing you on March 16 and 17 at the Carreau du Temple in Paris for the Virtuality Web3 Summit, with a keynote from our CEO Saimi Barragan on the mining of tomorrow, its challenges and prospects.
