2023 in Review, 2024 Outlook

With Bitcoin above $46,000, 2024 is off to a promising start!

Before we reveal what we have in store for you this year — particularly in terms of mining prospects — here is a brief look back at 2023, a year full of successes for Startmining.

In the first quarter, we launched START, a token that revolutionizes Bitcoin mining by making it accessible to individuals in just three clicks. Success was immediate: the first mint sold out in just three weeks! But rest assured, you can acquire more again (though not for much longer…).

In parallel, we took part in two leading international events: CES Las Vegas and VivaTech in Paris — a chance to present our innovation, talk with many players and forge promising new partnerships.

Not to mention START moving to its BETA version at the Virtuality Web3 Summit, where our CEO Saimi Barragan and our CTO Thibaut Spanier led a talk on the subject.

Finally, we continued our expansion in Iceland and Paraguay by doubling our hosting capacity!

Overall, 2023 was a landmark year for Bitcoin.

2024 promises to be just as thrilling, with great mining prospects across many projects in the works.

First, on the Startmining app side, with the release of a new feature much requested by our users: the pool comparator.

Next, with the launch of a new mining pool powered 100% by hydroelectricity.

The Startmining team will also fly to French Polynesia to take part in the second edition of the P.I.C.S. (Polynesian Islands Crypto Summit) this coming May. And you will be able to meet us at other events in mainland France — we are preparing something BIG, but we won’t say more for now…

So, against a backdrop of Proof of Work, the team is hard at work to make this year even better than the last, with mining that is ever greener and ever more profitable.
